How Will Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Continue To Edge Ahead Of Other Mid-Market ERPs?

There is a survey that vendor-neutral Panorama consulting group conducted this year (2010) stating that Microsoft Dynamics ERP is Edging Ahead In The Downturn.  It’s not all ducks and bunnies as my good friend would say, but overall this is a pretty big milestone.

Microsoft is edging ahead…this made me think of ongoing Dynamics 2010 hype.  “A new way to do Business” Microsoft says.  You don’t have to know much about Microsoft Dynamics GP to understand that the integration with other Microsoft products is unparallel in comparison to the other ERP’s.

Does your ERP or financial solution, have the integration into CRM and into your email that you need to truly be efficient?   Microsoft Dynamics users have a “one up” on other ERP’s due to Microsoft’s ability to incorporate tools from their Office applications.  In 2010, it’s all about communication.   I tell my husband this at least once a week and it was on a majority of our clients’ New Year’s resolution lists…so I appreciate that Microsoft has homed in on this.

Unless you’ve been living under the proverbial social media rock, it’s no surprise that Microsoft’s Outlook 2010 has a something pertaining to social media.  Social media is how many of our clients have grown certain aspects of their business this past year, and how many of us communicate valuable news, Microsoft Dynamics training and  promotions to our clients.

Here are a few additional communication features that will be rolled out in 2010 that I think are cool – they have more to do with Outlook, but with 500 million users worldwide, it’s worth mentioning:

  1. Microsoft’s contact-centric approach enables you to quickly and easily view all content and communication history such as recent email conversations, meetings and more.  Incorporate Microsoft Office Communications Server and you have ability to view on-line status and start a communication with that person right from Dynamics CRM.
  2. Have you heard about SharePoint Server 2010 and Outlook Connector?   Another advantage for Dynamics users is how Microsoft treats Outlook itself as a social network.  If the e-mail sender and recipient are jointly working on a document stored on a company’s SharePoint server, both will see updates if one logs on to make edits.
  3. Employees can stay within Outlook to keep afloat with recent Twitter tweets, Facebook status updates, or other social networking interactions–without overwhelming the Outlook inbox or dumping an avalanche of irrelevant communications on you.  No more surfing!

Simplifying communication, innovation, and choice…these things truly are the hinges of a prosperous ERP solution and continue to bring value to Microsoft Dynamics GP users.  To learn more about what Microsoft Dynamics GP,  Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server can provide,  call DFC Consultants, at 800-277-5561.  DFC Consultants, in business for over 20 years and specialize in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft CRM and Native American Housing solutions.
