PowerPivot Installation

Andrew Friar takes a look at installing PowerPivot. PowerPivot is a new Business Intelligence and Analysis tool coming for Excel 2010, SQL Server R2 and Sharepoint. The beauty of it is that you don't need all three to get benefits from PowerPivot. You can setup PowerPivot on an Excel 2010 beta installation and start playing with it. No servers required. To get the millions of rows in memory showing in some of the PowerPivot videos you'll need more than Excel and PowerPivot running on your netbook but at you can start playing today.

PowerPivot should open up some nice Business Intelligence options for Dynamics GP.
