Well....let's make it fun, I know you are up for the challenge!! 
Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 will release right with our year end for the 2016 reporting year!
A way for you to get features and year end updates all in one install.  More bang for your buck, isn't that what they say??
Thank goodness it looks like a mild year end this year.

So what’s new with Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2 you might ask? We are kicking off a blog series around the new features in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2. These will be jam packed with great content, documentation, and videos, just as you have seen in the past.  Just because it is year end and busy, we will not let you down!!

The focus of this release was existing customer features that came from CONNECT.

Microsoft Dynamics GP2016 R2 builds upon the value delivered in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016, here are some highlights:

Ability to cancel a Purchase Order when linked to a Requisition
Display Tax Percent for Historical Transactions

    Have upgraded our stand-alone system to DEX 2016 to coincide with our customer's upgrade to Dynamics 2016.  We are a client.  When we now login to our system we get the error "Key Segment not found", then "Error registering table SY_Pathnames".  Both tables in Dex and Dynamics are exactly the same (length + fields + keys).  Have recreaed the SET file and everything seems fine.  INI file has SYNCHRONICATION = TRUE also.

    Can anyone shed light on what is wrong here.  At Wits end.....thank you......herb

    Terry,  After reviewed the documentation on 2016 R2 I can see that it will not cancel lines on a PO with a project/cost cat.  This is crazy to me because how will we be able to keep an accurate Open Commitment or Open PO report when we are unable to cancel an order??

    Terry,  Do you know if the Purchase Requistion fix (cancel a PO that is on a PR) works with Projects too.

    Terry is there any news about SBA´s POP Transactions? We are desperately needing this type of transactions to be developed in REST webservices and we have no news.

    For Age based life insurance, it will change the employee record, so when you run payroll that day, we look at the record to get the rate.  When it updates the rate automatically for you, if you go to Cards | HR | Employee Benefits | Life, there is a benefit history at the top left, you can see that it recently changed, you could run a report on that data if you want from that HR table that tracks the history of changes.

    Hi Samantha, those features did not make GP 2016 R2, they were on the target list when shown at Amplify.

    Hey Terry,

    Regarding Age based Life premiums; is there someplace where I can see/report what the premium is going to be when I run Payroll?

    In the amplify presentation on new features, there were sides dedicated to financial features which included intercompany bank transfers and payables EFT hitting in lump sum.  I do not see those on the list you wrote or in the "what's new" documents.  Did those features get dropped?

    When is the download available?  I see a page for it but there is not any software there.

    Usually it is available around now.
