“Service Sector Grows for First Time in a Year” – This article caught my eye as one of the recent headlines on MSNBC. The index, which tracks more than 80% of the country’s economic activity, including hospitals, retailers, financial services companies and truckers, hadn’t grown since August 2008. The report goes on to state businesses’ backlog of orders grew for the first time in 14 months. Present business activity rose, growing for the second straight month after 10 straight contractions.
If you’re like me, you’re optimistically looking for signs of recovery in the economy. And one of the ways that businesses will recover, and continue to grow, is through efficient processes. Efficient processes can reduce overhead, streamline order-taking and order fulfillment, and provide for better customer service.
