My Community is a new personalized view of your Dynamics 365 community allowing you to focus on the content that matters most to you. 

Now you can choose your favorite Dynamics 365 applications and on-premises products, filtered by content type and role, and view it all in one searchable dashboard. You can interact with forum threads, change your preferences to see alternate views, and your selections are automatically saved for you. 

Select a role for your profile and see your new role badge appear immediately across the site; adding a role helps others find your content too.

To customize your community in one minute, go to your My Community experience, select Content Type, Product(s), Role(s), and then Apply Filters - your custom view will be created for you!

Roles

Roles are key to this personalization experience so it is highly recommended that you check your own community profile to confirm that your role is set accurately. Content is tagged with the role of the author and also by the intended audience, so for example, a blog post or a forum thread will be tagged with 'Consultant' if the author had the consultant role, or if the content was intended for consultants. When you assign a role to your profile, content you create is automatically tagged with that role, which allows others to find your content when searching in My Community.

Personalizing Your Community

Easily personalize your My Community page by:

     1. Choosing a Content Type, e.g., forums, blogs (one per query)
     2. Choosing an Application or Product, e.g., Finance, Sales (one or more). Choose up to seven
     3. Choosing a Role, e.g. Developer, Consultant (one or more)

     Select the 'Apply Filters' button to see your personalized results!

Example Ways to Use My Community

My Community is a powerful tool for searching across applications and roles, pulling your preferred content into one view. Here are a few examples of how My Community could be used:

  • You are seeking a forum answer and want to see all verified answers across a few specific product forums, filtered by one, several, or all roles.
  • You are Functional Consultant and want to see all Finance TechTalks or SCM TechTalks intended for Functional Consultants, and/or other roles.
  • You are a Developer and want to see all Sales application forum threads authored by (or intended for) Developers and/or other roles.
  • You want to see the top 10 ideas for Finance and SCM
  • You want to see the most viewed or popular HR or Customer Service documentation from Microsoft.
  • You want to see applicable learning paths for your particular role from Microsoft Learn
  • You are looking for product updates for Sales and/or other applications or products
