We are pleased to share the recent updates to Dynamics 365 for Financials. For a complete list of what’s new and what’s coming you can visit the Dynamics 365 Roadmap.
Making smart business decisions has never been easier with Dynamics 365 for Financials and Power BI. With the new Power BI reporting control, you can make your Power BI reports visible from within the most highly-used lists in Financials providing you built-in, actionable insight where you need it.
It's now easier to create transfer orders. You no longer need to use an in-transit location. Instead, you can receive items immediately at the transfer-to location, just by choosing the Direct Transfer check box on the transfer order.
You can easily identify transfers by looking at the lists of posted transfer shipments and posted transfer receipts. For more information, see How to: Transfer Inventory Between Locations.
The new filter and search capabilities in the Learn more section make it easier to find information within Dynamics 365 for Financials. In addition, updates to the Dynamics 365 documentation page provide a better experience when you are looking for detailed “how to” guidance.
Stay connected with your customers and deliver professional communications. With this update, you can now use Word to create professional cover sheets for a variety of business needs. Create profiles for your contacts to segment and classify contacts according to different profile attributes. You can now add these profiles to your contact list, manually or automatically, by answering user-defined questions for each contact.
New capabilities within Campaign Management let you track the progress of your campaign, and capture pricing information to stay on top of costs.
With Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), you can pay vendors using electronic payments. You'll be able to modify the format that is used to create the EFT file to suit your needs. You can assign a file layout to each bank account, and then when the EFT payments are processed, each EFT file uses the specified layout. For more information, see How to: Export Payments to a Bank File.
