I am running into the following error, within Dynamics 365 for Business Central when trying to modify a permission set.
You do not have the following permissions on TableData Permission: Modify.
I am also unable to copy an existing Permission set i get the error:
You do not have the following permissions on TableData Permission: Insert.
Will it ever be possible to create your own custom permission sets?
Is it only possible through an extension?
I want the user to have Team Member Permissions however I dont want them to be able to access the Chart of Accounts or Journals.
Yes, I wonder about this too. It is not that hard to make permissions through extension, but I do wonder why you can't manually edit yourself.
I have created an extension which only goal is to make team member licensed users be able to login and approve purchase documents. It seems this quite obvious use case is not supported by any of the default permission sets or groups.
If anyone have issues with permissions through extensions when you upgrade extension, let me know. To me it seems old versions of permissions can still be active on some users.
