whenever i login to business central the company setup page is opening and i fill the data and when i click on finish it is giving an error you do not have following permission on table company Modify. all permissions are assign to user including D365 Business full access and SUPER.
at trial version of BC i perform the task with ease, this permission error occurs not allow me to perform any create, modification, deletion.
anyone faced this problem please help.
thanks in advance,
1st way :
Did you try copying the permissions of admin user?
Go to Users -> click effective permissions and check the permissions on table company and table data company.
Change their as required.
I had massive issues trying to figure this out. The permissions do not seem that user friendly to navigate. If you need to create new companies, you need to ensure your SUPER role is not assigned to a specific company - it needs to be blank. Also, I found I needed the D365 Security role for user management - also blank company - to be able to assign users to the new company during the setup process. Make sure you assign yourself to the new company at a minimum.
Below are how my security settings look at the moment and I can do everything I need:
I might not need to have all of those settings, but it is working, so I am not changing anything!
