For a customer i would like to extend the item template with a few fields, but unfortunately in the OnInsert/OnModify trigger of the table Item Template you are not allowed to add more then 17 fields (see FieldRefArray) while the function CreateFieldRefArray can handle 30 array elements. Does anyone have a solution to extend the array from 17 to 30 in the item template OnInsert/OnModfy trigger?
Kind Regards Adalbert
you could add a new table "item template custom.", wit an ID field which points to the original item template table, where you add a refID field to connect the 2 tables.
save the additional fields in the new table.
the item creation/insertion process for items must then be extended using the new table.
Hi Franz / Jonathan, thank you for your quick response.
First I have tried your solution, but it was a bit too complicated for me, because "Item Template" is just a temporary table, more a visual representation of the table "Config. Template Line".
But your answer did point me in another direction, just show in a subpage the additional Item fields.
In the OnAfterInsert event of the "Config. Template Header" i add the additional fields to the table "Config. Template Line" and in the subpage you can only modify this fields.
This works in this case, for the rest I will wait till "Item Template" will work with 30 array elements instead of the 17 right now.
Again thank you for your answer.
Kind regard Adalbert
