On February, 13th 2014 at approximately 12:59:00 PM PST CRM Online orgs served from the North America Datacenter became inaccessible. The issue was detected by internal monitoring and resolved by Microsoft Service Engineering using documented mitigation procedures in partnership with the Microsoft Network teams. This issue impacted less than 50% of customers in the region.
Impacted customers could not access their CRM Online organizations.

A network line card failed at a vendor location that supplies connectivity to one Microsoft data center, caused a brief interruption while traffic was rerouted.
Microsoft Network team is investigating ways to minimize the downtime should a similar event happen in the future.
