Adx Portal redirect to Profile Page instead of Home Page for When existing Users login .

When a new user login to Portal, after azure authentication it redirecting to profile page but when an existing portal user logins to portal, it should redirect to Home Page instead of Profile Page.

Existing users all time redirecting to profile page instead of home page when they login.

Have checked site settings configuration in portal but still not able to find the root cause of issue.

Can anyone help on this please?

Hi Michel,

To keep it simple, here is your answer:

Until and unless a user enters the required fields in the profile page and hits 'save/update', by default Dynamics Portal will show the profile page only.

1. Go update profile page required fields.

2. Save and Log out of portal

3. Log In to portal, now you should see the home page.

Hi Michel,

Try creating a site setting called "Authentication/Registration/ProfileRedirectEnabled" and set the value to "false".

All the required fields in profile(contact entity) updated but Still redirecting to Profile page for existing users. Note: this happens only in UAT environment not in dev and production environment

Hello Michel,

If the user is logging on the Portal first time, It is mandatory to click on Update button on the Profile page in order to complete the portal registration process. If still users are redirected to profile page then please check below two settings on 'Portal Contact' form of contact entity:

1. Profile alert is set to 'Yes'.

2. "Profile Modified On" has no value.

Changing the Site Marker for Profile can break some of the key functionality and is not recommended.
