Hi Guys,

We are planning to upgrade the AD server from windows 2008 R2 to windows 2012 and also upgrade AD forest functional level to 2008 R2. We need to know the compatibility of CRM 4.0 with forest functional level windows server 2008 R2. If there is no impact then, is there any changes need to be done in CRM server as well since we have not planned any changes in CRM server. Please help us with any Microsoft links or suggestions.

Hi Arun,

Based on below documentation, it appears to be supported.

The domain where the server is located must be running in one of the following Active Directory modes:

   Windows 2000 Mixed Mode

   Windows 2000 Native

   Windows Server 2003 Native

   Windows Server 2003 Interim

   All Windows Server 2008 Modes

All Active Directory forest modes are supported.
