Outlook 2016 isn't displaying CRM 2011 when trying to access through the CRM folders

We have CRM add-in for 2011 installed for Outlook 2016. When Users click on the CRM folders to access records it comes up with the message " Retrieval of a page from a CRM Server failed due to an error "

Now the issue is limited to only few users even though they have full permissions to access those records. 

I checked the online solutions but none of them worked like clearing the CRM Cache from Diagnostics, Repairing the Add-in's etc.

Unfortunately, this is a known issue. Here are the mitigation steps:

Thank you Srihari for the link - I checked that option earlier but in Outlook I don't have the option to tick or untick "Optimize for Compatability"
