Hi everybody, we are curently running our CRM 2011 online (update to 2013 in Dec) in Base language = French. i would like to change the Base language to english, any ideas how to do this? thanks for your help thomas
Guido is correct here. Base language of CRM Online organization cannot be changed when upgrading from CRM 2011 to 2013.
Thanks Guys, i was hoping for another answer but good to know that we can't do it.thomas
It is correct that in the past changing the Base Language was not possible. I must inform you though that it can be achieved now by opening a Support Ticket with the Technical Support team. The base language change has it's cost though, it can only be achieved by de-provisioning/re-provisioning your organization (deleting/recreating) which means that any data or customizations you have on the organization will be lost during this process. You will need to take care of backing up the data yourself if that is needed.
Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Communities
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
You cannot change the base language once it has been selected
You can only change the formats now in
Settings --> Administration --> System Settings --> Formats
This will change the default formats but you would also have to get each user to change their personal formats (chanting system formats only effects new users created who will take the format specified in system settings)
I guess that backing up your customizations can be achieved by creating a solution. My questions is if there is any easier way to backup your data than doing exports?
