We've migrated from a different database to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, and as part of that process have a marketing list in CRM called 'unsubscribe'. For all of the members in this list I want to change their 'Send Marketing Materials' field to 'Do not send'.
I presume I need to create a workflow to do this, but have never created a workflow before and have no idea how.
You can do an advanced find to return all the contacts in a marketing list.
I will assume it's a list of contacts
Start advanced find
select the contact entity
in the criteria, select related entities - Marketing list
choose the field marketing list, this will pop up a marketing list lookup, you select the marketing list in question
This query will now return all the contacts who are members of this marketing list
Select all the contacts and click edit or if there are more than one page there should be a bulk edit.
check the Do not send/send option you want
If the Marketing List is Dynamic, follow below steps
Go to Advanced Find.
Query for the members (Contacts, Accounts or Leads) in the “unsubscribe” Marketing List.
Click Bulk Edit.
Change 'Send Marketing Materials' field to 'Do not send'
Hurray! That did it. Fantastic, and I've never even run an advanced find before. Thank you very much
