I have multiple teams set up in CRM for permission reasons. I would like to send a mail to all members of a Team when a record has been assigned to that team. From what I've been able to gather I would need to send to the Queue for that team but I'm not entirely sure that is correct.
I have configured the system to use the Email Router/SMTP for email sending. Any help on how to make this happen would be appreciated
Here are the steps to achieve this
1. create a workflow on Record is assigned
2. Check the ownership of the team and based on the team create email and send it to the team email address
Where do i determine the team email address?
Team entity itself contains email field so you can add email address in the team entity itself for this purpose
Create an email Group, that once you send to the email, it will send to the whole Team Member.
Then, you can create a Queue, set the email address to this Queue.
Then, you have workflow to send email to that Queue once records has been assigned.
But, this will require you to sync Member in Email Group AD (if you use AD) vs Member in CRM Team.
