Is there any js method to retrieve the server datetime?

I tried this today. This is possible in CRM2013 using Actions. Please have a look at nycrmdev.blogspot.com.au/.../retrieving-server-datetime-using.html and let me know if this is what you were looking for.
Natra, Due we are in CRM 2011 then actions don't work for us.

In CRM2011 OnPrem environment this could be done using a combination of WCF or WebAPI and Ajax calls. Create a new WCF or WebAPI service and host it in the same server as Dynamics CRM (If this is the server, you need the date from). This service will do the simple task of retrieving the current datetime from the server.
