Currently testing the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 plugin for Outlook. I keep receiving an error when I try to "Track" an email in outlook and CRM. If I use the email router, I do not receive the error. The only information it give me is this:
The emails go through, they just aren't being tracked. Is it a settings issue, a permissions issue, or my outlook in general? Any assistance would help.
I will suggest to get client side traces while tracking an email and then look for error/exception which will lead you to know the cause of this issue.
1. To enable Client side tracing, go to Start >> All Programs >> Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 >> Diagnostics >> Advanced Troubleshooting and check the box for Tracing.
2. Start working in CRM client for outlook and once a user get prompt to enter credentials, you can collect logs files and send them to me for analysis from C:\Users\<User_Name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs or Traces
