Are you using different "Status reasons" for lost opportunities? (By default "Canceled" and "Out-Sold").
I want to track lost opportunities and know the reasons to lose.
You can add more status reasons under cancelled apart from already provided and if you want detailed reasons for losing the opportunity then use the multiline text box which comes up while closing the opportunity and all the data is then available in the opportunity close entity in the related activity submenu. You can also perpare a report for getting list of all opportunities with the reasons.
You should changed the lost opportunities status reason to reasons which are popular to your company.
you can amend the current reasons and add new ones
