Is there anyway to Edit the Owner Id of Account in CRM 4.0? Coz CRM 4.0 doesn't allow editing using Data Migration. I cannot use the Assign to User button since they want a bulk edit and not selecting accounts to transfer owner one by one. They want to update through migration.
If this is not possible, would there be no error if we update the Owner Guid of Account through SQL?
I assume when you are on CRM 4.0 and talking about "using Data Migration" you mean the Data Migration Manager? If so, here is an article which describes how you can achieve it:
Thank you for your reply. Will try the Data Migration Manager. Thank you.
You could export in excel and update the owner and re-import , this will update owner of the record. Make sure when updating owner name it should match full name that exists in the CRM
I try to update the Ownership of Account using DMM 4.0 but it prompts me Duplicate Record error. Is there any other way to update the Ownership of Account?
