I have a client who is looking to work off of the Address 1: Longitude and Address 1: Latitude on the form and map these values to Bing Maps. Currently Bing maps works off address 1: composite field.
Is there a way to change the maps to work off of the Longitude and Latitude values instead?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I believe the Bing Maps only works from address. If you open the form editor for a Account or Contact and remove the Bing Maps from the form. Then under insert click Bing Maps. In here you can choose what address the tool uses, for me this is just Address 1 and Address 2 but I do not have longitude and latitude fields on my form.
The only option may be to develop your own Bing maps tool or use a third party plugin.
Hi Matthew Seligman,
Yes, there is a way to change the maps to work for the longitude and Latitude values.
Refer the following link, it may help you.
I was looking for a more out of the box, e.g. point to the Longitude and Latitude fields on the account form rather than going down the developer route.
If there is no out of the box way to do this then I will mark this question as solved.
Many thanks and I look forward to your response,
I'm searching for it. If i get it i post here.
Unfortunately there is no out of the box way of doing this.
Thanks very much Scott - I would have thought that Microsoft would have actually used those fields as well, since they are more precise.
Hopefully it will come out in a future release.
