I have created a campaign and I am trying to track activities that are associated with it. I am using the CRM for outlook app and set regarding the activities but they do not appear in the activities feed of the campaign but in outlook they appear to be tracked.
Also when i try to add a new campaign response it doesnt let me it says:
Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=220.127.116.11, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: CampaignResponse can not be created for Template Campaign.Detail: <OrganizationServiceFault xmlns:i="www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="schemas.microsoft.com/.../Contracts"> <ErrorCode>-2147220718</ErrorCode> <ErrorDetails xmlns:d2p1="schemas.datacontract.org/.../System.Collections.Generic" /> <Message>CampaignResponse can not be created for Template Campaign.</Message> <Timestamp>2015-09-03T09:50:59.6371224Z</Timestamp> <InnerFault i:nil="true" /> <TraceText i:nil="true" /></OrganizationServiceFault>
Since you are using outlook my first suggestion would be to Synchronize that to just confirm the data has moved over into CRM.
Then, I have a few questions
1. If you go into Marketing > Activities - and select the view for All Campaign Activties - are the activities there?
2. If you go into a specific campaign (that you have tracked activities to) do the activities show up in the Social Pane there?
- My suggestion to you would be to run an advanced find for a specific activity to verify whether or not it is in the system. And then let me know and we can troubleshoot.
As for the campaign response - based on the error code you are getting I believe that you are trying to add a response to a campaign template which is not an actual campaign. I would suggest that you try by going to marketing > activities > campaign response - +new and add the parent source campaign to that.
