One of our users is viewing CRM 2011 through Outlook and ran into a problem where the "Static worksheet with records from all pages in the current view" was not available.
The view he was trying to export had multiple pages.
I told him to try exiting from outlook and logging back in, to try to refresh it, didn't work. He said that every now and then he'll see the option, but there are many times where the option isn't available when it should be.
Is this a known issue? Any fix?
What about web-client for that user ?
If you use Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, exporting data to a static worksheet creates a local copy of the exported data and stores it on your computer. The data is transferred from CRM Online to your computer by using a secure SSL connection, and no connection is maintained between this local copy and CRM Online.
When you export to a dynamic worksheet or PivotTable, a link is maintained between the Excel worksheet and CRM Online. Every time a dynamic worksheet or PivotTable is refreshed, you'll be authenticated with CRM Online using your credentials. You'll be able to see the data that you have permissions to view.
An administrator determines whether or not an organization's users are permitted to export data to Excel by using security roles.
This means that Admin has to review security Roles and permissions for the user and need to validate If assigned security roles has org level access to export to excel.
The user has been instructed by management to only use the Outlook version :/.
The view was shared with me and I have no problem exporting it on both the web version or Outlook.
I reviewed security settings and this user has identical security settings to mine in regards to exporting views to excel.
