We have installed a selection of Solutions in our Dynamics CRM Online installation. Some of these are from 3-rd party, and some are collections of our own customizations.
Today, when trying to open/edit any of these Customizations, a window pop up with the following message "An error has occured" - followed by the standard text of contacting support or browse the internet for help.
Anyone had the same issue, or know how to fix this.
This might be caused by many reasons, but it's not easily identifiable.
Since this is CRM Online, you might get a Log File or a detailed version of the error. In case you can do this, the error may give you more information about the error.
In case you are not able to get a log file, or a detailed version of the error, then I would suggest you to open a Support Ticket in Microsoft Support so a support professional will get the detailed error and will find a solution for this.
Thank you for using Microsoft Dynamics Communities.

I found the solution to my issue.
In a recent upgrade, probably SP1, there is a new security role for Customization. Unless part of this group, even System Administrators can not work with Customizations.
