We are migrating from CRM 4 on-premises to CRM Online. I exported the data from NOTES entity (through a View) and imported it to CRM Online, but the formatting of the note is not kept. When I open the data exported from CRM 4 in Excel, they don't seem to be formatted. How should I handle this problem? Thanks!
When you talk about formatting are you referring to bolding and coloring etc?
Hi! No, the problem is with the carriage return. If the Note is separeted in multiple lines in CRM 4, it will be imported Online on only 1 line, without return.
I believe the issue is due to exporting into Excel. Excel would remove the additional lines.
If you have some kind of data migration tool you may be able to use that to keep the formatting.
Thanks Kylie! Do you have an easy-to-use tool to recommand? Is there any other solution?
Not to my knowledge. I think you would need to use a tool like Scribe or Kingswaysoft.
I hope this helps
