When I attempt to uninstall the FST solution it show that it does uninstall. When I then go to navigate through my CRM it shows sitemap errors and locks me out of the application. The only way I can get access back is to reinstall the instance. If I would like to temporarily remove this solution for the time being what is the best procedure to accomplish this please.
Hi James, may I ask did you make any customizations during FST was installed? Im trying to figure out why its causing those sitemap issues?
I did make customization's through another solution but, but did not touch anything in or related to the FST solution.
did you make any sitemap or ribbon customisations to the other solution?
Uninstalling the FST Managed Solution is the only supported way of removing the solution / customisations. Im hoping the error you got was related to IE caching, are you able to unistall the FST solution, Publish all changes, and Clear you IE history or open crm with in Private Browsing?
I followed these steps and the above error continue's...
Hi James, You can restore your default sitemap for your version of crm by either exporting the sitemap from another crm instance, or by using XRM toolbox Sitemap editor which has a function to restore sitemap. you can do this once you have uninstalled the solution and it should fix your sitemap discreplancy, however this should not be happening for you. what version of crm are you on?
CRM 2016 Online
Thank you Raz, I appreciate the help. I did not know about the reset to default in XRM toolbox. Would you uninstall the solution and then reset to default or would you reset to default and then uninstall?
Hi James in the following order;
Uninstall the FST
Publish all Customisations
Clear your IE Cache
If you still get error then download the xrmtoolbox.com or use http://xrm.tools
Select the option to restore sitemap for your crm version (crm 2016)
Save / Publish changes
Sure let me know how it goes
Best wishes, Raz
Raz - you are a good man. This worked flawlessly and you introduced me to some new tools. Thank you very much!
I have customer who has followed your steps in order to remove FST solution:
Publish all Customizations
The solution is no longer present under Settings > solutions. However, entities that relate to FST still exist. Do you know how to completely remove?
