I'm having an issue with Async Plugins in CRM 2016. I installed a Solution from CRM 2013 to a new CRM 2016 Server and everything works as expected, expect for a few Async Plugins. They run very slow, they seem to do their Job, but it takes Hours/Days untill they are set to Completed. The same Plugins/Jobs work as expected in CRM 2011 and CRM 2013. Could this be a Bug in the Async Service or CRM? I allredy tried on three different Servers, but the behaviour is the same.
P.S. They all appear under "Locked System Jobs". I already tried this: http://www.powerobjects.com/2013/03/28/how-to-fix-a-crm-workflow-stuck-in-progress/
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Frenkie, Your Plugin dlls most likely will need to be updated for crm 2016 but we would need to know more information about the plugins to find out why its locking?
Best Wishes, Raz
Thanks for your Reply. You mean I have to reference the CRM 2016 DLL's and Rebuild the Plugins? OK, I can try that. But it is strange why it happens only with Async Plugin Steps? The Workflows work as expected. I have a dynamically registered Step for an Entity and also a Workflow on that Entity. They both do the same Job. When I execute the Workflow manually, it works without problems. When I save a record of this Entity, the Async Update Step gets triggered and it stays all the time under "Locked System Jobs" with Status "In Progress". I will try your suggestion and come back to you if it worked or not.
I tried your suggestion but no luck :(
Any other Idea?
Was there any solution to this? We are facing the same problem and we also tried updating the database like described here: http://www.powerobjects.com/2013/03/28/how-to-fix-a-crm-workflow-stuck-in-progress/
Any updates or solutions on this issue? We are facing the same problem.
