I have created a web form and associated two steps to it, both steps use the same entity form, step one should display tab 1 and step 2 should display tab 2, step two source is set to - 'result from previous step'
first step displays correctly when I click on a Submit button it doesn't go to the next step, it just shows submission successful page
am I missing something?
did you set the second step as the next step inside the first step?
Guido's advice is accurate. A few questions.......Are you using the new portal-add on for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online 2016 Update 1 or are you using the legacy version of portals aka Adxstudio Portals? If you set up the portal manually, had to host the website, etc. you are using Adxstudio Portals. In that case, I would check to see that you have Web Notifications set up and/or are using the Manual Cache Invalidation Utility. This information can be found by searching community.adxstudio.com
I am using CRM online 2016 update 1, but I didn't have web notifications set up, I did that and I also manually refresh cache but that didn't help, I have a step 2 selected as a next step after step 1.
but it looks like my whole portal is not being refreshed couse I created a web page in crm and that didn't surface in the portal, it was working fine before. any ideas?
Are you still experiencing this behavior? If so I will need more detail to assist. Screenshots of a CRM records would be preferred i.e. Web Form, Steps, Pages, Web Site, and then also screenshots of the behavior in CRM would be great too. Web Forms are highly configurable therefore it is hard for me to troubleshoot with limited information.
If you are not able to provide further information and are still experiencing this behavior, I would suggest that you open a support case to enable an engineer to dig deeper. Thanks
thanks Patrick, this was also cashing issue, I disabled and enabled the portal and it works
