In CRM 2011 you could select a contact in the Contact GRID, select the add tab in the ribbon and select any activity to create and it would resolve the contact in the To or Regarding fields on the activity. That functionality seems to be missing in CRM 2016. You have to actually open the contact to create an activity.
You can use the + sign in CRM 2016 and create an activity from the contacts grid but the look up does not resolve to the selected contact in the GRID it self.
Anyone have a solution for this?
Here is a screenshot of the functionality in CRM 2011. This contact was selected and an activity was added from the add tab. This was done right from the GRID of the contacts.
