After latest Chrome was installed, i was not able to see notes on tasks. The font color for notes seems to be white like background. Something was changed or deprecated in Chrome 62.
Any idea how can this be fixed?
use a different browser until a newer Chrome version or an update of CRM is released (first one more probably)
You are right Gabriel, it seems like this is something that was caused in Chrome 62.
You can use the Chrome Sytlish Extension to most likely fix this issue.
Take a look at the following article:
This applies to firefox, but get the Chrome extension, and you will probably be able to resolve this issue.
Hope this helps.
My workaround is to open file Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_static\css\1049\notesv2.css and change line #118 to color: #000000;
Now CRM works correctly.
Thank you, one of our ream modified the CSS on the notes wall text box as below and after a cache refresh we have the desired performance on Chrome and Firefox - although this is unsupported.
Old - color: #0000;
to new: color: #000;
I can confirm we're experiencing that issue across our environments, too.
I can confirm that changing the color from #0000 to #000, clearing Cache (or opening in a new Incognito window) "resolves" the issue.
Worked for us too. Thanks to Nikita!
Well Hacking this file also worked for me, but changing the value to #000 makes no sense to me. We also try'd blue #0000FF. but since all text on the form is black we vent with that. #000000
But apparently #000 is black also.
Hum, #FFFFFF is white. #FFF also.
#000000 and #000 are black.
This did not work for me. Well, I shouldn't say that, it did change the font color for Notes in IE 10, but it had no effect in Chrome. Cleared cache a bunch of times and tried an incognito window - no luck. I also tried several different hex colors. They all rendered in IE10 but not in Chrome. :(
FYI, we're on CRM 2015.
This workaround helped:
But does that mean, that CRM2015 Update 0.3 fixes then also the issue for Chrome 62 or am i wrong? It looks like that the theory is the same?
I have a similar situation with CRM2013, on there though the file is named notesv2.css.aspx and when trying to save after editing it, it gives Access denied.
Try installing A+ Font Enhancer (chrome.google.com/.../font-rendering-enhancer). It shows the notes fonts. Did not require any custom changes or coding like Stylish, so it's easy for end users to install.
This is a perfect solution for those using Dynamics CRM On-Premise (preferably 2016).
1. Go to the Dynamics CRM server.
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\_static\css\1033\
3. Edit a file named "notesv2.css.aspx"
4. Go to line number 118 and change the value of color from #0000 to #000000
This works fine for me. Thanks.
Works fine CRM 2016 22.214.171.124.
