When trying to connect to connect my Plugin Registration Tool to the Discovery URL i get this error for Dynamics CRM 2011 OnPremise:
" Unable to retrieve the organizations from the Discovery Service.
Would you like to see the details for this error? "
Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.IdentityModel, Version=18.104.22.168, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. I already tried the following options but nothing worked:
1. Deleted the config file
2. Changed the System time to suit the server time
3. my system has dotnet 4.6 already installed.
Any suggestions ?
Do you have Microsoft.IdentityModel installed on the machine where you are running the Plugin Registration Tool from (as per error message)?
Please check that this is the correct version (based on your Operating System).
For Windows 8 or above, you can install it using the Add/Remove feature or Turn Windows features on or off from your Control Panel -> Programs.
Hope this helps.
Awesome, I installed (enabled) the Windows Identity Foundation and then it worked.
Thanks for your suggestion.
