When I export data from CRM 2011 and I checked the "Make this data available for re-import...".
I open this xml file with Excel 2013, then I change a value to 1.1, but after saving, it change to 1.1000000000000001.
I know it is a numeric precision issue in Excel.
But how to solve it in Excel?Cannot tell my user using notepad to update those number value. Thanks
Just to clarify, is this causing a problem in CRM, or in Excel. In CRM you can set the display precision, so this shouldn't be a display issue. If this causes a calculation issue in CRM, then you could use a plugin on Update/Create to change the data as it is saved.
If you need this changing in Excel, then I'm not sure if there's a good option. Theoretically you could use a macro, but I don't think there's a good way to apply macros to worksheets exported from CRM
This problem is causing in Excel. But I don't understand why CRM 2011 using xml for re-import.
Our user would like to update a lot of price data in this entity daily.
So I choose Import/Export in CRM, but after export and updating those price data in Excel.
The price is from 1.1 to 1.1000000000000001.
I don't know if I can not edit this xml file in Excel , why CRM 2011 using xml format for re-import.
Or I misunderstanding how to use Import and Export module in CRM.
