I have a subgrid on the lead form that has relationship between lead - user (N:N) , i am able to see the plus button on the form in web to add existing users to the subgrid but it is not available on the form in mobile .
What am i missing to configure here ?
Do you mean that the "+" icon doesn't show on the subgrid (screenshot1) when using Dynamics 365 for mobile?
Please check whether you could see "..." icon (screenshot 2) on the subgrid in mobile, and if you could, you can click it to add existing records.
Hope it makes sense.
Appreciate to Mark as Answer if it helps.
Hi Judy ,
I am not able to see the add existing option either when clicking on the "..." . This is happening with the stakeholder subgrid that is on the lead form . The subgrid allows users to add other users in the system , so makes me wonder if oob the system doesnt allow this for user entity . Any idea on this ?
Has the Lead been qualified? The option to add stakeholders and competitors is removed for me as well in app once the lead is qualified (read-only). Activated leads I can still add from mobile.
yes that is oob , lead form becomes read only after qualifying it . But that is not the case for me , i dont see it only for this subgrid in mobile (it works fine in web ) and this is before qualifying a lead . Also i have other subgrids on the form and i dont have any issues with them .
For the Stakeholder subgrid, it is truly different that there is no "add existing entity record" option, but you still could add existing records.
Please kindly see the screenshot below. You could navigate by New Connection-Search icon, then choose the existing record to add.
Besides, you could change the view by clicking Change View button.
Hope it helps.
We are not using the out of box stakeholder grid . OOB subgrid allows you to add contacts as stakeholders , we have changed that to users . Any user in the system can be added as a stakeholder.
Thank you for your explaining. It is true that we could not do it from mobile.
Through doing research and test, I think I may find the reason for this. Contact entity is allowed to read-write from mobile while User entity is just read-only in mobile.
