users got error message saying "you must enter a number between -922... and 922..." for currency fields on editable grids. It is not possible to change anything. If user opens the record, the value can be easily changed on the form.
I am experiencing the exact same thing. This have worked fine up until now.
We have Dynamics 365 v8.2 installed.
Anyone know why this are happening?
I did some research.
I believe this error was introduced in the latest update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4338685/service-update-14-for-microsoft-dynamics-365-8-2-2
I do not know if this is actually the cause, but to me it looks like most possible reason.
Same error for me too.
As Bjørn said, the error was introduced in the last update: 8.2.2
Am also experiencing the same exact thing with currency field in Editable Grid, and am with Dynamics 365 Version 1612 (184.108.40.2060).
I am also receiving this error with currency field in Editable Grid, and am with Dynamics 365 Version 1612 (220.127.116.110).
Given that everyone is reporting the issue I would recommend that you all raise a support request at https://admin.dynamics.com . If enough people do that it should be identified and fixed rapidly...
I just tested this with 9.0 and it is working and not seeing the error but with a different side effect...
See the related post with my testing:
Drew, the bug seems to be recently introduced in the latest 8.2.2 service pack release...
Hi Ben, understand. Just detailing behavior in 9, which works mostly with some issues as well though. Thanks much.
Exact same issue here. What did you do now? Did you start a service request with Microsoft? Or do we wait?
I have created a service request via Office 365, Dynamics 365 Admin Center (Support) - https://admin.dynamics.com/ linking this forum post.
I encourage all that experience the problem to do the same, to ensure that we get attention to the bug.
Microsoft contacted me informing me that this was a known issue that have been resolved by the development team.
However, it will first be available on the next service update, later in July.
While this affect the editable grid, it does not affect the forms and can still be edited as normal there.
This issue is resolved by moving release version from Dynamics 365 Version 1612 (18.104.22.1680) to Dynamics 365 Version 1612 (22.214.171.1242). This update can be rolled out only by support people, so need to contact MS support for once.!
