Users were unable to open activity "task,letter,email" form after Microsoft patching in night because assigned security roles on form were removed.
Users were able to open the activity form before patching.
Due to removal of form permission users are facing issue of unable to load the specified form
Now we have assigned the security roles to forms and deployed a patch to the environment. It's working fine.
We know that Microsoft regularly update patches on weekends.
But I want to understand, why activity "task,letter,email" forms security roles were removed due to patching. It means whenever Microsoft will apply a patch on servers than this issue will happen again.
I wanna resolution to avoid this.
You should contact Microsoft support, describe the issues you faced. Microsoft controls the database, hence i believe there is nothing you can do.
But you can include this setting into solution and download it as a backup.
