Data export service: Create export profile failed
We have created a working data export for 2 D365 CE environments. Now we want to create a new data export service for 2 new CRM instances (Accept and Production). So what we did:
1. add a new database under the existing and working database server under the existing resource group and subscription
2. add a new secret in the keyvault with the connectionstring and a tag with the orgID and TennantId
1. install data export service for existing environments
2. open Data Export
3. create a new record with keyvault URL
4. validate was succesfull
5. select just Account entity
6. no relations selected
7. Create & Activate or Create
Error message: "Create Data Export Profile failed. An error occurred"
What is going wrong?
As topic starter we are having exactly the same issue. In the past (just before Christmas '18) we configured multiple export services. But unfortunately we are getting the same non explaining error message.
In the mean time we have raised a support ticket with Microsoft.
Thnx for your reply. Last friday I've tried it for the last time. I did exactly the same as desibed above...and for now it's working.
The data export functionality and its setup is still quite buggy and is actually still in its infancy. Hopefully Microsoft will pay extra attention to this soon!
Did Microsoft ever get back to you? I am experiencing the same thing now. If so by chance did they have a resolution for you?
I found the solution for this failure. If you still need it, I wrote a blogpost about it: dynamics365blog.nl/.../activation-failed-status-on-data-export-profile
