I have been trying to display a field called "Account Prospect Level" that is under one entity (Accounts) and add it to another entity (Contacts) so the team can see the Account information when adding a new Contact.
I have created a 1:N relationship under contacts to accounts and have created a field in Contacts that is identical to the Account Prospect Level field under the Accounts entity but when tested, it is pulling through the account name and not the information in the Account Prospect Level Field.
Is there a way we can build and relationship and filter it down to a certain field per entity? It does work, but it is just pulling through the wrong data/from the wrong field.
Any information you could provide would be highly appreciated.
If all you want, is the users to be able to see the "Account Prospect Level" from the contact record, you do not need to create a field on the contact entity and copy this value. This approach will cause data duplication and if the Account Prospect Level changes on account, then you have to have a workflow or other means to keep contact up-to-date.
I would recommend you create a quick view form on account entity, drop the Account Prospect Level field in that form and then on your contact form, you can insert that quick view form to display the data from the account.
However, if you are aware of the quick view form feature but you still want to copy the value from account to contact for this field, you will have to add the mapping for it.
Let me know if you need screenshots or examples for Option 1, or the mapping part of Option 1.
