I want to add the status in my custom entity as like order entity (Fulfilled, Inprogress, Cancelled etc).
As of now, only Active and Inactive status is available. So can any one suggest me to do this process.
The statuses will stay as Active and Inactive, but you can add Status Reasons to each of the Statuses.
For example: In Progress will be a new status reason within the Active Status, and Fulfilled and Cancelled will be new Status Reasons within the Inactive Status.
Hope this helps.
You can not modify the status(statecode) of any custom or system entity. The correct way is to add the status reason(statuscode) against specific status.
Additionally, you can update the name of the status options using language translation. Example inactivate can renamed to closed.
Unfortunately you cant add new status (option value) in existing field. Anyway if you want to add reasons like order you could do it adding in status reason for respective status (Active & Inactive)
to do this process, many solutions exists:
1- Go to "custom entity"
2- Create two optionSet, status ans statusRaison.
for each status we have many statusRaison, exemple: if status: "new" then statusRaison: "active" or "Inactive"
Create a global optionSet (2 global optionSet)
