We are using dynamics CRM 2013 on premise version. Recently without our knowledge, some user changed the optionset value, which could have impacted our production environment. How to verify the audit history of Stringmap table? We verified the audit log, it doesn't have this table. Also, as it's system internal table, we don't have a choice of enable audit. We verified the entity which uses this optionset, but that will not help. Stringmap table doesn't have created by, modified by column as well. Any input is appreciated.
Unfortunately, the StringMap entity cannot be audited. If you have another environment like Dev, QA or UAT - you can pull the old key/value pairs from there. If you have a weekly or everyday backup techniques as it is on-premise, probably you can restore in another instance to revive.
Your end user should not have System Admin/Customizer privilege to do such things like editing schema. take care of it :)
Hi Sonali Panda,
I have done a little analysis on your issue ,but we could not find it
even you cannot find it in Attribute table also, because all these table is maintaining only the solution ID's.
May be you can take the entity where user have changed the optionset and check records for the changed value of the optionset records because it is a recent change and definitely the user who changed this would have used this option to create it and you will come to know modifiedby of the records.
I have a query, you said this is a production environment and how the user got an access to do the customization?
Pls find it out
Hope this is helpful..
We corrected the data based on the FRD, but we were trying to figure out who tempered with the data.
