Wondering if this is possible.
I currently have a RAG status field within my account form which tells us if our clients are happy, sad etc. What I want to be able to do is if the field content changes from Green to Red I want to be able to report that it changed from Green to Red.
I know i can look at the audit trail to see the change, however, im looking for another way to get this done as I know audit trails cant be recorded or reports etc in the system.
Has something like this been built out before.
You don't need to store all history, you just need to store previous value (Old RAG status) and compare new with previous in workflow.
If Old was Green and new is Red then alarm. And don't forget to update Old with new at the end.
Thanks for your response. So its just a workflow that I need to build out? Will I have to add in all the various options that my users can pick though to complete this workflow?
So the RAG status has 4 options, Red, Amber, Green, Gold etc.... or am i thinking about this incorrectly?
You need to create the field "Old RAG status" with the same type and options(Red, Amber, Green, Gold etc.).
Create solution option set
And then use it to create you field in entity Olb and Current
Then compare them in WorkFlow
Thanks for the detail response. Sorry for not being up to speed with this and for not fully understanding this.
I have followed the steps outlined above, but I still cant get this to work. My difficulty is if the Rag status is set to red, and then moved to green, the old rag status field should show as red. If then the this field changes from green to gold then the old status field should show as green.
I havent been able to get this working as yet, if you have additional help on this Id love to hear it.
