Trying to use the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook (in-line) and when I click to Track an email and then Search for a record, if it is an Opportunity it does not show the "Name" of the Opportunity. It only displays the Status (Open/Won/Lost) and the Interest in the search results window (See image below)
Thanks for submitting your question here.
I have a few questions for you:
Have you recently noticed this behavior and was it working before where it would display opportunity name ?
Is this behavior both in OWA or Desktop Outlook or Both ?
Are you launching app for outlook and then searching on opportunity name ? Can you fill me in the repro steps?
Please let me know.
We only recently started using the Dynamics App so I don't know if it ever worked.
Yes, it is both in OWA and Outlook as well as the Dynamics App for iPhones.
Yes, I launch the app and then perform a search for an Opportunity by Name and those are the results.
I actually figured out the issue. It had to do with the "Quick Find View" for Opportunities. I didn't have the Topic field as one of the View columns-- we use a Custom 'Job Name' field instead. Once I added it, it now appears in the App(s).
Perfect! I am glad it worked out.
