I'd like to know how do I view the guid of an entity record. I've been using the debug mode browser tool, but I feel like there should be an offcial way to look at it, does anyone know about it?
You can get the GUID from URL itself for unified interface -
Have a look my answer here for onpremise , press F11 and then from URL you can get -
Unfortunately there is no offcial way to find out the GUID of records. But there are also some other convenient ways.
1.Click on "Email a link" on the form and the GUID will display in the email content.
2.If you are using UCI, you could see the GUID directly in the URL.
Hope it helps.
You can view the guid of an entity record by below options:
1) "From URL" as mentioned by Goutam and Leo.
2) There is a very useful extension is available for Chrome=> "Level up for Dynamics CRM". It will get the record Id on a single click and can perform many more complex operations without any hassles.
Please refer below url for reference:
Using mentioned extension you could able to see GUID insde INFO -> Entity -> Id
Thank you for your reply. However my url seems like this xxxxxx.crm8.dynamics.com/main.aspx, I don't know why.
