I have two persons with identically email-addresses. In my case "axi@world....at"
If I compose a new e-mail, the address will not be resolved in the to-Field (red color). On the other hand if I create a new appointment (optional-field) it will - yellow exclamation mark.
If only one person with this e-mail-address exists, the e-mail-address will be resolved.
Can anyone tell me the reason why or show me a solution how to fix this?
This is expected behavior of dynamics. Dynamics doesn't know which person to pickup.
the question is why do you have multiple contacts/customers with same email address.
you can always merge duplicate contacts.
okay expected behavior. But why is the behavior different? See this screenshot for explanation:
On e-mail-form it's not resolved at all. On appointment it will be resolved but indicates that there are more than one entries. I want this behavior on the e-mail-form too!
I got your concern now. I have the same in dynamics 365 online ( atleast in classic interface)
when i put in email address in email it shows red and doesnt allow me to resolve it manually which is strange! You might want to raise a ticket with MS.
this works fine in unified interface though in dynamics 365.
workaround would be just enter few characters from email address and hit enter , it will give you both choices.
