I am working on Dynamics CRM Customer Service Portal. I am using out of box entity 'case'. Below is the scenario :
Cases displayed in the Portal as view. So Portal users can able to see their cases based on they created it.
There is organization field (out of box) that is automatically mapped with contact. Now the requirement is there would a portal user who can see the all cases of the the organization of the current portal user.
for example : 5 cases are created by Portal A user, 3 cases are created by Portal B users. These two portal users below to a organization "Dell". then they need to able to see all 8 cases of the company "Dell".
there would be more cases for another organization. Above Portal users should not able to view the cases of different organization as well.
Kindly Suggest !!!!
Thanks & Regards,
It sounds like you are trying to display the cases in an Entity List that belong to the related Account for the Portal User. Assuming you are using the out-of-box Company Name relationship on the Contact record, you should be able to utilize the Filter Conditions on the Entity List. Found under the General Tab, you can select the Account Attribute field and map it to the Organization field on the Case entity. This will filter the results so that the only Cases displayed are those related to the Account in which the Portal User belongs. See the screenshot below for an example:
I hope this helps!
Thanks Matt for your update,
I am able to solve this issue. This is out of box where contact is already associated with Company (Account) and it is automatically filter on the basis of account.
If I mapped two users with same company , then they are able to see company level data.
