In the classic interface, after importing Contacts, we were allowed to add those Contacts to Marketing Lists as shown in the image below
Now in the Unified Interface, we are missing this button. I can not figure out the best approach to replicate this, having tried working with Ribbon Workbench.
The only workaround I see is setting a particular flag to later query on with Advanced Find and add those specific Contacts to a Marketing List then. For example, as we work with Owner Teams, Contacts should never be owned by a User. I could temporarily set the owner to myself, a user, to find all Contacts created during this import then do a mass edit after they have been added.
Ultimately, the goal is to find the best solution for adding Contacts created from a specific Import to a Marketing List.
Could you please provide us with some additional process information? So you have a list of people you want to have in Dynamics 365. I suppose it is an Excel list.
This information would help a great deal in understanding your functional need.

Do you import this on a regular basis? - Not on a scheduled basis. Perhaps once or twice a month.
Does it always contain the same columns? - Not always
When you have imported the data and have it in your marketing list, what do you do with it? Create a quick campaign and generate activities (emails, phone calls, appointments, other)? Exactly.
Does it concern qualified leads? If not, why don't you import it into the lead entity? The issue doesn't lie with importing to a specific entity. The problem is that the ribbon toolbar on post-Import screen is no more.
Thank you for reaching out on the Dynamics Communities. I have looked into your issue and you are correct. Currently, the "Add to Marketing List" button does not appear when accessing the import records within UCI. I was able to replicate this same behavior on my test instance.
My recommendation would be to post this as a design suggestion on https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/. This is constantly reviewed by our Product Team to see what features can be added into Dynamics.
