I'm currently working on some functionality that would allow the end users of my system to rank their leads by the most likely to convert by utilising lead scoring and calculated fields.The way that the company has requested this is to have various fields acting as a questionnaire - each field is a question, such as 'How likely are we to convert?', and the end user is to select one of the options, ranking from 'I'm certain' down to 'Not at all'. Each of these options have text values. However, the company would also like for each of these options to have a numerical value, in order for the lead scoring to be calculated using a calculated field. Ideally, the end user should not see these numerical values - only the text value, and the final score, should be visible. I've done some research into this, and have seen that there are ways utilising custom JS that would allow addition of Currency fields, for instance, but this does not help with my question, as the options themselves are pure text, not numbers inputted into a pure text field. Are there any ways (using custom JS or low-code OOB solutions) that would allow for each option to have a hidden numeric value?Thank you all in advance for any suggestions,
Thanks for your question. At the moment you can only have one value per option inside of an option set, however, this value can be changed: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/customize/create-edit-global-option-sets#edit-option-set-options
For example, you have an option set as follows:
Option1---Label: Sunny ----Value 1
Option2---Label: Windy----Value 2
Option3---Label: Cloudy----Value 3
you could create a yes/no field to trigger the logic at the end of the questionary.
USing https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/developer/model-driven-apps/clientapi/reference/attributes/getselectedoption you can get what was selected. Then, based on this use your calculation. For example.
Var score =0;
and then you can write the result in a custom field.
