Is it possible to migrate (after upgrade to CRM 2016) a client from CRM 2013 (SP1) Version 220.127.116.11 to Dynamics 365 Cloud without having to migrate their AX (AX 2012 R2 Version 6.2.1000.4051) to the cloud as well?
If so, how would this work? What additional software would be needed?
They have very limited usage and licensing on AX and it doesn't make sense, from a cost standpoint, to move to Dynamics F&O Cloud.
Yes, you would be able to migrate only your Dynamics CRM organization over to the cloud. These would be separate migrations if both were needed. I know that our Microsoft Fast Track team assists customers with moving to the cloud, have you heard of or engaged that team?
Thank you, Efrain.
How would we be able to connect the new Cloud Dynamics 365 CRM to the on-prem AX instance?
