Hi, I have a client who has sales users that from time to time need to 'Track' or 'Set Regarding' emails in their inboxes to Contacts that they don't own. RIght now these users can Read all Contacts (Org privlege) but only have Edit rights at the User privlege level. I believe Append and Append To are Org as well. All this said, I believe that users should be able to Track any email in their inbox to any Contact - but It dawned on me that I never encountered this scenario, and I wanted to confirm. I am going to have them test this as well, just wanted to know if anyone knew the answer to this before I take next steps.Thanks in advance!
Yes, the users should be able to track the emails to the contacts they have access to.

Ok, in other words, all they need is 'Read' access to Contacts to be able to track an email to any Contact in the system?
