Mind you I am not working on the integration but am looking for an answer for the actual customizer. I'm going to keep it general.
In CE we have custom lookups (EntityRelationships.) A custom optionset was set up in F&O to match the values in one field. My customizer says the UI presents him a list of fields in CE to which he can map. They are all optionset, whole number or two-option data types -- no lookups.
I'm having a hard time believing even Microsoft is rolling out a system with that shortfall.
How does one integrate to CE lookup through Dual-Write?
PS- we are using the out of the box integration/mappings
Any link to documentation would be greatly appreciated
PPS- my disbelief comes from the fact that several mappings contain a target/source of transactioncurrencyid.isocurrencycode. Seems Microsoft can find a lookup using something like QueryByAttribute. I'm guessing it is a general feature.
As a test, I created an account lookup on the Competitor entity. Voila' the lookup AND a cross reference table are available in the Dual Write UI.
How do I get this to happen on lookups that existed BEFORE the DW solution was loaded?
