currenly, in our instance of Dynamics CRM, goals are recalculated automatically at 10am every day. My Managment would like it to be changed to 6am daily.
Can anyone please help with this requirement?
I am new to CRM and do not have any scripting experience. Any help would be appreciated.
You can follow below steps to change the time -
1. Navigate to Settings > System Jobs.
2. Change the view to Recurring System Jobs -
3. Look for jobs using the Calculate rollup fields for the <entity name> entity naming convention and to change the recurrence of an entity’s rollup calculation, click into the job and select Modify Recurrence under More Actions -
Thank Satish, but I do not seem to have "Modify Recurrence" option in the actions list. I am trying to reschedule Goal Rollup job.
You would need to open the job (do double click) and then under actions, you would see "Modify recurrence" -
Thanks once again, I can see it on other system jobs, but not when I open "Goal Roll Up". I need to be able to change the time when goals are recalculated, from 10am to 6am, as set in my instance.
Am I looking in the right place?
Thanks for clarification. Yes, even I don't see the option to change it in CRM Online. I know how to do it on-premise but let me research on it and I'll update the thread.
So you can update the recurrence start time using WebAPI Patch query or Postman -
"name":"Goal Rollup job",
"recurrencestarttime": "2019-05-17T05:00:00Z", (Edit this with the time you desire)
You can find more details here - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/web-api/asyncoperation?view=dynamics-ce-odata-9
Thanks again Satish. This looks like it would work, but unfortunately I have no idea how to use WebAPI Patch query or Postman. Thanks again for your help.
You can detailed steps about setting up and how to use Postman -
Thanks Satish, I will give it a go in my sandbox and will let you know.
Satish, I am using Postman, as you suggested using basic authentication with my own account, I have a system administartor user role in CRM. When I send POST request, I get 401 Unauthorised response message. Can you please advise what could be the issue. Thanks again.
What authentication you are using?
You need to pass access token to execute the API request.
